project background. Green Qween West Hollywood marks the brand’s bold evolution into its flagship LGBTQ+ dispensary, a space created to be unapologetically loud, proud, and impossible to ignore. Located in the heart of West Hollywood, the store was designed to stand out among the city’s vibrant nightlife and creative culture. Visual Elements collaborated closely with founders Andres Rigal and Taylor Bazley to translate their vision into an immersive, high-impact retail experience that celebrates queer identity and community.
Our team developed the interior design direction, adapted the DTLA fixture program to suit a new, uniquely shaped footprint, engineered every custom fixture, and manufactured the full package in-house. The result is a striking, candy-coated retail environment that balances expressive personality with highly functional merchandising performance.
The challenge. With limited square footage and a uniquely shaped floor plan, the space required maximum merchandising efficiency without sacrificing aesthetics.
our approach
Visual Elements adapted the fixture program originally created for Green Qween’s first DTLA location, redesigning each element to suit the tighter footprint and new customer flow. Signature pieces were reimagined to improve vertical utilization of the walls, including transforming the well-known low flower table into a custom flower wall that increased capacity, organization, and accessibility.
A vibrant palette of millennial pink, neo mint, and pastel tones was paired with sculptural fixtures, integrated lighting, and Green Qween’s iconic disco ball to deliver a cohesive and energetic brand experience.
