project background. Green Qween expanded its footprint with a second location in Sherman Oaks, California, continuing its mission of blending high-style retail with meaningful social impact.

As the long-standing design partner for Green Qween, Visual Elements collaborated with co-founders Andrés Rigal and Taylor Bazley to develop a store concept that celebrates the local culture while maintaining the brand's signature aesthetic.

The aim was to create a space that authentically resonates with the Sherman Oaks community, blending continuity with Green Qween’s brand ethos.

The challenge. The design needed to capture the local Sherman Oaks neighborhood’s aesthetic while maintaining the core elements that made the Downtown LA location a success. The store needed to reflect Green Qween’s commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ cannabis brands while creating a seamless retail experience.

The store incorporates colors like Cantaloupe and Neo-Mint to evoke a nostalgic yet fresh take on traditional neighborhood bodegas.

A central flower table allows customers to browse cannabis products like grocery shoppers, complete with color-coded baskets indicating whether they’d like assistance. Overhead "disco ball solar system" lighting ties into the brand’s original location, reinforcing Green Qween’s distinctive design language.
